Sunday July 7, 2024, 120 days till November 5th
Most but not all people I know and/or read respectfully take the pro-Joe but not as 2024 candidate side of the argument: that for the good of the party and of the country, Biden should step down and bow out.
But isn’t it funny / not funny how many stalwart center-left Democrats who are still toeing the line that we *have* to stick with Biden regardless of his condition mainly complain how “the media” has such a double standard in not covering Trump’s constant horrific words and deeds with the same intensity that they cover Biden’s debate debacle and aftermath?
That’s true, no question– they don’t. And most Republicans are apparently fine with a POTUS who’s as unhinged as Trump. But neither of those facts are within any of our control. So what is…?
It seems to me that any self-respecting D (one who wants to win in November) has to face reality sooner or later— and Yes the truth hurts: the guy is no longer fit to be President anymore and he’s certainly not at all likely to win in November…and the sooner we all wake up to that, the more possible it is for the Democrats to somehow, someway get a candidate on the ballot with at least a puncher’s chance of stopping the return of Trump and the disaster that awaits to country with that President and this Supreme Court.
And Yes for me that candidate will hopefully be the incumbent President Kamala Harris, with a Roy Cooper or Andy Beshear as her VP, please God
