Thinking through all the action back home in the CCSD, I continue to reflect on the apt and stirring message of Rev William Barber the various times I have seen him speak, and his theory of “fusion politics,” most recently at the NPE conference three years ago in Raleigh:
“Fusion Politics” according to Rev Barber: all races working together, the only way real and lasting change ever happens in the US.

Barber is the living legacy of MLK and Thurgood Marshall and his message includes the most important fact we all live with one way or another:
“Unless our children begin to learn together, there is little hope that our people will ever begin to live together.”
